Paula and Russell have done several overseas trips in recent years, mainly focusing on Europe, Mediterranean cruises and the United States of America. The trip to Mexico offered an opportunity to do something completely different and the trip was a complete surprise.
They have hundreds of photographs of the vivid colours of the gorgeous township of Ajijic. Paula and Russell have very fond memories of the local people and the fascinating places that they visited with the Big Yellow Suitcase tour. They are the proud owners of a rug that they bought at the Artisan Fair at Lake Chapala, where the artisan weaver explained the dyes that he had made from local materials.
Paula has retired from a career in event management. Russell is still working in emergency management and he looks forward to retirement. They live in a town house in Allambie Heights, near Manly in New South Wales, Australia.
